In addition to and ideally in conjunction with the sand ladder, fencing off the area helps to protect and revegetate your sand dunes.
By fencing, you are keeping off human traffic and hence giving the dune a chance to re-establish itself naturally. It's surprising what will grow when the dune is given a chance.
We also recommend the use of Soil Saver Jute Mesh to slow strong winds and trap airborne sand particles from blowing away (the job marram grass does on a typical healthy sand dune.)
