Community Leadership

Conservation Services provides a Community Leadership service to organisations interested in carrying out conservation work.

This allows the local community to become involved and play a part in protecting and enhancing their environment whilst being led and trained by an experienced conservation leader.

Benefits for a community group

Community leadership allows your group to make best use of limited funds by allowing you to do the work yourselves through training and leadership rather than employing outside workers. Projects can include anything from tree-planting to hedgelaying to sand dune conservation.

Benefits for an organisation:

Community leadership allows organisations such as local councils and schools to increase community involvement in the conservation area resulting in better undertanding of the project and an increased likelihood that the proejcts will be protected on an ongoing basis by the local community. It can also mean lower costs depending on the numbers involved.
