Soil Saver Mesh for Erosion Control

Soil Saver Jute MeshConservation Services has recently introduced SoilSaverTM Jute Mesh to Ireland. This is a 100% organic, biodegradable, loose-woven jute 'cargo-net' mesh that "moulds" to the ground to protect both seed and soil on bare surfaces vulnerable to erosion by rain, run-off and wind. SoilSaverTM is internationally recognised as the best solution for effective revegetation in two to three years.Conservation Services can provide SoilSaverTM on a supply-only basis or as part of an overall services solution.

Benefits
Natural Rehabilitation: SoilSaverTM is ideal for areas where natural revegetation is being encouraged, such as sand dunes. It can be used in conjunction with local brush and twigs to help in the capture of soil and seed, preventing soil erosion. The SoilSaverTM is 100% organic and is designed to break down naturally over a number of years by which time vegetation will have been established.

Creates a Micro-climate: SoilSaverTM retains moisture in the micro-environment for plants, increases water infiltration for faster long-term stabilisation, and helps increase germination rates for direct-seeded areas.

Cost-effective: SoilSaverTM is not only the best solution for revegetation but is also more cost-effective than traditional erosion solutions such as sand-trap fencing.
